Details of all classes including times and venues can be found on our classes page on the navigation bar.
If there are no classes advertised within your area, please do not hesitate to email us with your interests and we will strive to open classes at a location of your choice according to demand.
How much does it cost?
Click on Fees for further information regarding prices for individual lessons for kids and adults.
Our Pay As You Go price tariffs ensure value for money with No Hidden Costs. We will NOT be beaten on price.
What should I wear?
When you first start, it is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for plenty of flexibility.
Long training bottoms and a T-shirt are ideal.
Do I need to buy a suit?
Not until you wish to grade.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, this is included in your annual membership fee of £25.00 to Imperial Taekwon-Do Scotland.
A BTC licence and insurance is required for your own personal protection, however, you may initially wish to attend a TaeKwon-Do class prior to becoming a member in order to determine whether the sport is for you.
How long will it take me to gain my black belt?
Every student is different, and rate of progression through the grading system depends on how often and how hard you train; i.e, commitment and dedication. Achieving black belt status can take anywhere between 2-10 years, although the average is between 3-4 years.
Can I watch before I begin training?
Of course. Pop along to your nearest TaeKwon-Do class as a spectator and talk to one of our friendly instructors.
Everybody is welcome.
I have trained in TaeKwon-Do before, can I keep my grade?
Yes, if you trained under the International TaeKwon-Do Federation (I.T.F) Syllabus.
If you have not trained for a long period of time, we may need to re-assess you to ensure that you still meet the standards required for your previous grading.
