Tiny Kickers & Gen X
Programs for the Younger Students: Generation
X | Tiny
Kickers
3-4 years of age....

The Tiny Kickers
program is a specially designed training program that teaches more than
just TaeKwon-Do. It teaches youngsters to be good citizens and prepares
them for life, or at least school. This program includes lessons in safety and life
skills as well as physical martial
arts skills. These skills help the students become well
rounded by promoting the child's social,
emotional, physical,
and intellectual growth.
Our established "Tiny Kickers"
system which is also unique to the Imperial TaeKwon-Do
Association, is an elite section within the Association for children
aged 3 - 4yrs, Which aims
to lay a foundation of TaeKwon-Do for many years of training.
The Imperial TaeKwon-Do syllabus is very complex, with
24 patterns up to and including 7th Degree Black Belt. So the Tiny
Kickers section was introduced to help motivate and encourage the
younger generation to continue training.
Tiny Kickers is meant to be fun, an hour
of solid training for a 3 - 4 year old isn't. So here at the Imperial
TKD association we have broken up that hour with a few games. Also the
grading system has altered from that of an adult or older children's
classes.
Imperial has introduced 5 grades,
White/Yellow/Green/Blue/Red/Black striped white belts are worn to
signify the students level of technical attainment. Thus allowing the
children to recognise the different grades, and we find it helps to
motivate the children as Belt promotion is on a continual assessment.
Once a child has reached White Belt Black Stripe they
are then able to train with TaeKwon-Do specific or Generation X classes.
Tiny Kickers is successful within the Imperial
TaeKwon-Do Association and there are currently over 100 students, and
those who have ascertained Black Stripe seem to find the transgression
into the older classes much easier and are continuing their training
within the normal grading syllabus..
Key Benefits
- 1:16 Instructor / Student Ratio.
- Specifically designed syllabus.
- Fun, Safe and Educational.
In our opinion no
other UK based organisation can match the value we provide making our
Taekwon-Do classes accessible to all.

5-7 years of age....
Generation X is our New syllabus
which is unique to Imperial TaeKwon-Do Association and the Nicholls
Taekwon-Do
Institute.
It is an elite training system within the Imperial Taekwon-Do
Association for children aged between 5 - 7 years. Which aims to lay a
foundation of Taekwon-Do for many years of training. For younger
children
please see our "Tiny Kicker"
Program.
The
Imperial TaeKwon-Do syllabus is very complex, with 24 patterns up to and
including 7th Degree Black Belt. So Generation X section has been
introduced to
help motivate and encourage the younger generation to continue training
in
Taekwon-Do.
Generation
X is meant to be fun, 45 minutes of solid training for a 5 -7 year old
isn't.
So here at Imperial TaeKwon-Do we have broken up them 45 minute lessons
with a
few Skills & Drills consisting of Co-ordination exercises, Balance
&
Awareness Games & of course Kicking and Punching drills.
Also
the grading system has altered from that of an adult or older children's
classes. We have introduced 5 Belts for achievement Yellow - Green -
Blue - Red
& Black Striped White belts are worn to signify the students level
of
technical attainment.
This
will allow your child to recognize the different grades, and we find it
helps
to motivate the children as belt promotion is on an achievement grading
assessment. Your child will need all five achievement belts before they
can
take there first TaeKwon-Do grading. To achieve all five belts normally
takes a
year - year and a half.
Once
your child has reached White Belt Black Stripe they are then able to
train with
Taekwon-Do specific classes.
Training in a
martial art
is not just about kicking and punching—it is a system to encourage
individuals
to become a valued member of their society, this is as relevant for
children as
for adults and builds on what you have been teaching them at home, and
what
they are learning in school.
In our opinion no
other UK
based organisation can match the value we provide making our Taekwon-Do
classes
accessible to all
